Volvo Construction Equipment Rents last week announced the signing of a franchise agreement for new Volvo Rents equipment rental centers in Puerto Rico.

Enrique Irizarry, president, Encar Rentals and Casco Rental, LLC, entered into a Volvo Rents franchise agreement to open a Volvo Rents center in Catano, Puerto Rico. The new equipment rental center in Puerto Rico will be the second Volvo Rents franchise opened by Irizarry and Casco Rental. The company opened its first franchise in Port St. Lucie, Fla., the first of several the company plans to open in its Volvo Rents development area for Florida’s east and west coasts.

The new Puerto Rico rental center, an independently owned and operated franchise, will carry, in addition to Volvo construction equipment, a comprehensive line of essential equipment and tools for the construction, commercial, industrial and homeowner markets. Emilio Marquez is general manager of Encar Rental and Casco Rental; Carlos Velez will be the store manager for the new Encar Rental center in Catano.

Asheville, N.C.-based Volvo Rents, No. 16 on the RER 100, now has nearly 70 rental centers open in 25 U.S. states and Canada. In addition, the company is expanding its operations in Europe with rental centers open in Portugal, Spain and Italy.
