United Rentals last week announced the grand opening of a contractor supplies distribution center in Edmonton, Alberta. The 24,000-square-foot facility is its second in Canada and its ninth in North America. This year it has opened distribution facilities in Ontario, Canada, Georgia, California, Colorado, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Oregon and Texas.
“Our contractor supplies infrastructure is now fully established in support of growing demand from customers,” said Michael DeCata, vice president, contractor supplies.
United expects the new distribution center to stock 5,000 contractor supply line items, including saw blades, power tools and safety gear. Greenwich, Conn.-based United Rentals is No. 1 on the RER 100.
