United Rentals last week announced the grand opening of its newest contractor supplies distribution center in Brampton, Ontario. The 42,000-square-foot facility is the seventh of nine regional warehouses planned for North America, and United’s first in Canada.
The Brampton center will fulfill customer orders placed through about 50 United Rentals branches. “We now have an ideal hub near Toronto with which to service our rental locations in eastern Canada,” said Peter Hofbrauer, director-logistics and distribution for United Rentals. United has established similar contractor supplies distribution centers in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Illinois, California, Texas and Oregon.
Based in Greenwich, Conn., United Rentals is No. 1 on the RER 100.
