RER has published its 2004 Rental Equipment Rate Guide, a guide to suggested rental rates it has produced annually for more than 30 years. After experimenting with a different format last year, shifting emphasis to equipment specifications, the Rate Guide has, by popular demand, returned to its original format, offering half-day, daily, weekly and monthly rentals on nearly 1,000 categories of equipment, with more than 100 new categories added this year.

Running the gamut from small hand tools to 160,000-pound excavators and 160-foot boomlifts, the Rate Guide was compiled by RER editors after studying the published rates of dozens of rental companies across the United States. The Guide has sections on air compressors, air tools, automotive equipment, concrete equipment, generators, forklifts, cutters, saws, heaters, hoists, earthmoving equipment, compaction equipment, drain-cleaning equipment, painting and wallpapering equipment, aerial equipment, pumps and more. It also offers suggestions on delivery charges, billing procedures, deposit requirements, overtime charges and prorating of rates.

The 2004 Rental Equipment Rate Guide is available for $46.95, plus a $5 shipping and handling fee. It can be obtained by calling (866) 505-7173 or by downloading an order form from the RER Web site, www.rermag.com.
