Chicago-based NES Rentals Holdings has elected Andrew Studdert chairman of the board of directors, effective immediately.

“The election of Andy Studdert to board chairman is a natural and logical step for the company,” said current chairman John Neafsey. “Since joining NES Rentals last year, Andy has proven his leadership and driven improvements by every important measure. This step is the board’s clear statement of confidence in, and support for the strategic direction and leadership team Andy has developed.” Studdert took over as CEO of NES in June 2004.

Neafsey will remain on the board and serve as its lead director. NES Rentals is No. 5 on the RER 100.
