Holt Cat’s Nash, Texas, branch last week celebrated the 100-year anniversary of Caterpillar’s first tractor. Benjamin Holt, the great-grandfather of Holt Cat CEO Peter Holt, introduced the machine on Thanksgiving Day in 1904. Holt and other Holt Cat officials were in Nash last week to highlight some of the history behind Caterpillar products and show off new products to the dealership’s customer and personnel.

Rental manager Tom Barry told attendees that Holt Cat has provided products such as generators to Florida locations that were recently struck by hurricanes, as well as power modules for hospitals in Alabama and Florida, and technicians to Tampa Bay, Miami and other areas.

Holt Cat Rental, based in San Antonio, is No. 18 on the RER 100.
