Hertz Equipment Rental Corp., is opening a new plant services and equipment rental facility in Deer Park, Texas. The facility will function as a major hub for Hertz Equipment Plant Services as well as a traditional Hertz Equipment Rental location. It will serve plants and industrial companies throughout the Houston Ship Channel, Texas City, Freeport and the entire Gulf Coast area.

A ground breaking for the new facility was held last week. Attending the event were Hertz Equipment vice president of sales and marketing, Anthony Gonnella and regional vice president Mark Alewel.

Hertz Industrial Resource Group rents tools and equipment to industrial accounts and makes available for sale "consumables" such as hard hats, work gloves, and safety goggles. Hertz will also manage the equipment with its off-site asset-tracking program tailored to individual customer needs. In addition, Hertz's Deer Park location will maintain and utilize mobile tool rooms. Stocked with client-specific equipment, mobile tool rooms are used at individual industrial sites with Hertz maintaining the rooms and managing equipment usage for each client.

Apart from Plant Services, Hertz Equipment Rental customers will also be able to fill their short-term equipment rental needs through Hertz's traditional line of construction and industrial equipment by such manufacturers as JLG, Broderson Crane, Sullair and Ingersoll Rand.

With more than 265 locations in the United States and Canada, and an additional 95 locations in France and Spain, Hertz Equipment Rental, based in Park Ridge, N.J., is No. 3 on the RER 100.
