Xylem Opens East Tennessee Pump Rental Branch

May 8, 2013

Xylem, global water technology company, has opened a new pump rental branch in Blountville, Tenn., managed by current Charlotte, N.C., branch manager Adam Nichols. The new facility will serve southwest Virginia through Knoxville, Tenn.

“This area has been a growth target for Xylem for a number of years,” said Xylem Dewatering Solutions southeast regional manager Jarrod Williamson. “We have had strong support in the region from our Charlotte, N.C., location, but are now ready to give it more direct attention. Our focus in the area will be diverse, but will include industrial work, municipal opportunities, utility and general contractors, heavy highway constructors, and work in the aggregate market.”

“I used to cover this region as a salesperson, so I am familiar with the area,” said Nichols. “We are excited to expand our footprint in the industrial and mining markets, and eager to provide more attention to eastern Tennessee and southwestern Virginia.”

The facility has a 15,000-square-foot shop and 3,000 square feet of office space, three docks and nine drive-in doors, and three acres of paved yard space.
