Sept. 18, 2013

Worldwide Power Products, a power-generation equipment provider to industrial and petroleum clients worldwide, was ranked No. 11 on the Fast 100 list recently released by the Houston Business Journal. HBJ evaluates Fast 100 candidates and determines winners based on two-year growth from 2010 to 2012. All candidates must be headquartered within the 10-county Houston metropolitan area and have been doing business for a minimum of five years.

“Houston is home to some of the world’s fastest-growing, most respected firms, and to be among such an elite list of private companies is quite an honor,” said WPP executive vice president Mark Lum. “This award comes on the heels of WPP moving to its fourth home in five years. Our new facility on Brittmoore Road positions us to make further strides working with Houston’s energy leaders.”

Worldwide was also listed on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in 2012 and 2013 and Forbes’ list of America’s 100 Most Promising Companies in 2011. WPP has been named one of Houston’s Best Places to Work (2012) by the HBJ, and the Houston Better Business Bureau Education Foundation honored it with its “Winners of Distinction” award in 2012 and 2013, in honor of companies that maintain a superior commitment to ethics, overall excellence and quality in the workplace.

Also the Entrepreneurs’ Organization of Houston honored WPP founder and president Will Perry as Entrepreneur of the Year in 2012.
