Volvo Rents Acquires South Carolina Rental Company, Expands in Colorado

Volvo Rents has acquired Blue Eagle Equipment, a three-store equipment rental company with facilities in Columbia, Greenville and Spartanburg, S.C. The acquisition gives Volvo Rents four rental centers in South Carolina.

Blue Eagle was founded by Robert Griffin in 2004. Griffin is a 26-year veteran of the equipment rental industry. Griffin will remain with the operations and management of the three locations as general manager and all 19 former Blue Eagle employees will continue with the company.

In other Volvo Rents news, the company opened a new location in Englewood, Colo., giving it a foothold in the greater Denver area. Volvo Rents already has branches in Colorado Springs and Longmont, Colo.

Based in Shippensburg, Pa., Volvo Rents is No. 17 on the RER 100.
