Doosan Infracore Portable Power has named the Fresno and Bakersfield, Calif., branches of Volvo Construction Equipment & Services as its newest dealer of Ingersoll Rand-branded air compressors and portable power equipment in California.

Volvo Construction Equipment & Services is a dealer of heavy construction equipment, such as earthmoving equipment, pipelayers and road machinery. The Bakersfield and Fresno branches in central California serve many construction segments, including oil and well drilling. It is for this segment that the company is expanding to include large air compressors to its equipment line.

“We supply heavy equipment to drilling customers — wheel loaders, excavators and motor graders,” said Brett Barnes, general manager for both the Bakersfield and Fresno branches. “Doosan Infracore Portable Power now gives us the opportunity to market large air compressors.”

“Volvo Construction Equipment & Services has a solid reputation in California as a provider of heavy construction equipment,” said Rita Moore, director of sales, North America, for Doosan Infracore Portable Power. “With its addition of Ingersoll Rand air compressors, we have gained a strategic partner for this legacy product line.”

Along with the full line of Ingersoll Rand air compressors, the Fresno branch also offers Doosan Infracore Portable Power light towers and its light compaction line of rammers, vibratory plate compactors and walk-behind compactors.
