Volvo CE has reached an agreement with Alta Equipment Company, for the sale of certain assets of its former dealer in Michigan, Wolverine Tractor & Equipment Co. In addition, Volvo CE appointed Alta as its authorized dealer in the state of Michigan, effective Jan. 1.

Alta’s service and distribution capabilities will ensure that customers continue to receive high standards of product support and service while presenting considerable opportunities for Volvo CE North America to strengthen its overall position in Michigan, the company said.

“Michigan is an important marketplace for us, one that will be strengthened significantly as the new dealer folds our products and services into its extensive network in the area,” said Tim Frank, vice president owned distribution at Volvo CE.

Asheville, N.C.-based Volvo CE manufactures equipment for construction and related industries. Its products include a comprehensive range of wheel loaders, hydraulic excavators, articulated haulers, motor graders, soil and asphalt compactors, pavers, milling machines and compact equipment.
