Volvo Construction Equipment North America has completed the merger of its New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania dealer, Penn-Jersey Machinery, and two Volvo Construction Equipment & Services dealers in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The combined dealerships will conduct business as Penn-Jersey Machinery.
The acquisition of the road machinery division of Ingersoll Rand in April 2007 by Volvo Construction Equipment included 20 Ingersoll Rand company stores located in 11 states. The former Ingersoll Rand Equipment & Services locations began doing business as Volvo Construction Equipment & Services July 1.
The merger of the VCES branches in Philadelphia and Branchburg, N.J., with Penn-Jersey was effective Aug. 1, and expands the number of locations presently operated by Penn-Jersey to six, strengthening the company’s position in its territory. Management of the newly merged stores will remain in place to continue supporting their local customers’ needs.
Current VCES sales negotiations, warranties, and sales agreements will be honored by Penn-Jersey and complete inventories of products and parts will continue to be available. Penn-Jersey has complete parts and service facilities to satisfy all of the road machinery service needs.
