United Rentals has expanded its specialty branch network with the addition of five locations in the United States and one in Canada, the company said today. United added Power & HVAC branches in Mobile and Birmingham, Ala.; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, and San Antonio to provide engineered power, heating, cooling and ventilation solutions for commercial, industrial and governmental customers and disaster recovery services.
United Rentals Trench Safety added branches in Birmingham, Ala., and Pittsburgh. The trench safety facilities will provide engineered excavation support and confined space entry systems, along with worker training.
“These latest additions to our specialty network advance our plan for 18 targeted branch openings in 2013,” said Paul McDonnell, senior vice president of operations for trench safety, power and HVAC. “They expand our presence in strategic areas of the U.S. and Canada where aging infrastructure and a robust energy sector are driving demand. Customers in these markets can access the full scope of our company’s resources in the form of total jobsite solutions.”
United Rentals now has 822 rental branches in North America. The Stamford, Conn.-based company is No. 1 on the RER 100.
