The employees of Trico Lift last month achieved 12 consecutive months without a lost-work-time or recordable incident. In 2008, Trico Lift employees reached a 24-month milestone.

“This type of accomplishment proves we can reach our vision to be the best,” company president Ken Pustizzi said. “Safety is a journey and though there are not finish lines, there are always milestones worth celebrating. This is the third time we are celebrating 12 consecutive months and once again it is a testament to the diligence of our team and their commitment to safety.”

“We never lose sight of our zero injury and risk-prevention targets and here we are celebrating once again,” added Steve Phillips, vice president of safety.

Phillips said recordable incidence is defined by OSHA as meaning the company did not have any incidences that required more than basic first aid or which resulted in any lost work time. He said Trico Lift, a full-service aerial work platform rental company, has put in place several program to ensure everyone stays focused on the company’s safety goal.

“Accident prevention measures such as job safety analyses, reviewing near misses and incidents, examining root causes and implementing necessary controls to prevent future occurrences are all common practices among our team,” Phillips added. The company has received industry recognition for its equipment inspection program and numerous awards and honors including a recent Contractor Merit Safety Award presented by the National Petrochemical & Refiners Association for its safe work performance.

Based in Millville, N.J., Trico Lift serves the aerial work platform markets in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest and, more recently, in the Gulf regions. The company is No. 50 on the RER 100.
