Takeuchi-US has hired Jeff Stewart as vice president and general manager, effective immediately. In a newly created role for Takeuchi, Stewart will oversee parts, service, IT, facilities and non-machine-related warehouse operations.

While a new hire, Stewart has previously been employed in various role during a 13-year career with the organization. The position is among a number of changes and new hires in the product support area, including Rick MacLeish who recently was hired as national parts manager.

The changes are an effort to bolster the department and to focus on improving support for customers and dealers in response to record sales in 2017.

“Product support is critical for maintaining our growth and customer satisfaction and this new position will help direct that effort moving forward,” said Takeuchi-US president Clay Eubanks. “Jeff brings a wealth of knowledge and respect to this role, which will be an easy transition with all his previous experience here.”

Most recently, Stewart worked at Alimak Hek Group in Webster, Texas, including vice president the aftersales division and national service manager, working for Alimak for seven years.

“Takeuchi is doing so well and I am excited to be part of a team that is still growing,” Stewart said. “Having been part of the Takeuchi team previously, I understand the culture, the people and customers. My career and experiences should help me be successful in my new position. This includes my previous position with Alimak, which helped me gain perspective on the dealers and end-user customers.”
