Spider Hires Houston and Philadelphia Sales Reps

Spider, a division of SafeWorks, LLC, has named new district sales representatives for the Houston and Philadelphia markets. Frans van Dyk is responsible for solving the suspended scaffolding and fall protection challenges of contractors and facility owners in southern Texas.

Spider, a division of SafeWorks, LLC, has named new district sales representatives for the Houston and Philadelphia markets. Frans van Dyk is responsible for solving the suspended scaffolding and fall protection challenges of contractors and facility owners in southern Texas.

Van Dyk brings more than 13 years of sales and management experience, six of which have been in the scaffold industry. Most recently, he served as sales and project manager for United Access Scaffold in Houston where he was responsible for new and existing account networking, project management, jobsite safety compliance, sales training and marketing.

“Frans is a welcomed addition to the veterans on our Houston team,” said John Sotiroff, vice president Spider sales and distribution. “His familiarity with scaffolding, related safety challenges, and the Houston market ensure the contractors and facility owners in his territory will receive the high quality solutions and valuable service that is expected from Spider.”

Gary Friedberg joined Spider’s Philadelphia operation center as district sales manager where he is responsible for eastern and central Pennsylvania, southern and central New Jersey, and northern Delaware.

Friedberg has nearly 30 years of sales experience in the construction supply industry. Most recently he specialized in outside sales with Vimco Concrete Accessories, assisting large contractors on the East Coast with their concrete work on high-profile projects ranging from power plants to hospital additions.

“Gary’s impressive tenure in sales has enabled him to master the art of customer relations,” said Sotiroff. “We are confident in his ability to establish relationships with existing customers as well as penetrate the market for new accounts.”
