Speedy Hire, the U.K.’s leading provider of equipment rental and support services, has supplied an onsite facility to Al Futtaim Carillion, Carillion plc’s long-standing joint venture in the Middle East and North Africa with the Al-Futtaim Group, for its Cairo Festival City project in Egypt.

The mixed-use U.S. $3.2 billion development, which spans nearly 10 million square feet, will deliver several retail outlets, office space, housing, restaurants, entertainment and a school as well as creating more than 50,000 office jobs and housing for 13,000 residents when completed.

A group of at-least nine Speedy employees are onsite in Cairo to facilitate the optimum use of the equipment and services, and the contingent is expected to increase to 40 as the project develops.
