Snorkel continued its annual tradition of giving away a push-around mini scissorlift at the annual California Rental Association Rental Rally in Las Vegas last month. At the end-of-show raffle, Snorkel majority owner Don Ahern announced Kevin Davis, a sales representative for Long Beach, Calif.-based American Rentals Inc. as the fifth person to take home a free scissor lift during the past five years. Entrants only had to submit their business cards at the Snorkel booth during the show, and be present at the raffle to win.
Last year the winner was Lynne Domey of Eastern Oregon Rental & Sales, and in 2016 Tony Beringer of Baker Rentals, Costa Mesa, Calif., won in 2016.
To celebrate the fifth annual giveaway, Snorkel upgraded the prize from the Snorkel S3008P to the Snorkel S3010P. Designed for low-level construction and facilities maintenance applications, the Snorkel S3010P is an innovative push-around scissorlift.
During the prize drawing, Ahern reiterated his support for independent rental companies. “Independent rental companies are the heart and soul of this industry and it is great to be a part of the California Rental Association,” Ahern said.
American Rentals was founded in 1984 as American Truck and Tool Rentals, and now owns several locations in Orange and Los Angeles counties serving the industrial and construction segments.
