SAF-T Conference in Nashville to Focus on Aerial Safety Issues

Maximum Capacity Media will host a one-day “Safe Access, Fall Protection & Training (SAF-T) Conference” July 24, immediately following the Scaffold & Access Industry Association 2013 Annual Convention at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel. Featured presentations and panel discussions will be led by some of the aerial industry’s leading authorities on aerial work platform safety.

The sessions will include:

  • “Safety Through Innovation and Technology,” by Jim Dorris of United Rentals;
  • “Fall Protection: What is the Impact of a Fall Prevention Campaign?,” by William Cochran of OSHA;
  • “Aerial Work Platforms Online Training Evolution, Opportunities, and Concerns Plus Familiarization: Is it Making Things Safer or Just Reducing Service Calls?,” a roundtable moderated by United Rentals;
  • “Aerial Work Platforms Working at Height: A Contractors Perspective,” a roundtable moderated by Jeff Stachowiak of Sunbelt Rentals;
  • “Technology Trends – Near-Miss Reporting: The Missing Link of the Safety Culture Revolution,” presented by Mike Williamsen, Caterpillar Safety Services;
  • “Aerial Work Platforms: Safe Movement of Equipment on Jobsites,” presented by Brad Boehler, president of Skyjack.
