RSC Names CFO; Opens Las Cruces Branch

RSC Holdings last week named David Mathieson senior vice president and chief financial officer, effective January 2. Mathieson succeed Keith Sawottke, who resigned to pursue other interests.

Mathieson brings more than 30 years of diversified financial management experience, encompassing public offerings, reporting, compliance, investor relations and mergers and acquisitions. Most recently, Mathieson was senior vice president and CFO of Milwaukee-based Brady Corp. since 2003, before which he was a Honeywell International executive for 20 years. He worked for Honeywell in the U.S. and several European countries, last serving as vice president and CFO in Brussels.

In other RSC news, the company last week opened a branch in Las Cruces, N.M. “This has been a great community for us to serve over the years from our nearby stores, including our facility in Alamagordo,” said store manager Dennis Snyder.

The new 9,000-square-foot store is on two acres with a fleet size of about $3 million. RSC has more than 470 locations in North America, and is No. 3 on the RER 100.
