Resale and Quicksale Values Rise in December, EquipmentWatch Notes

EquipmentWatch has announced new Green Guide values for January, covering all December resale and quicksale activity. Through its new ValueTrend Engine platform, EquipmentWatch can update values monthly for more than 10,000 construction equipment models.

Overall, private resale prices increased .56 percent while quicksale (public auction) prices increased .38 percent month over month in December.

A trending summary for some of the most popular equipment categories shows:

  • 4WD articulated wheel loaders: -0.73 percent resale, -0.44 percent quicksale;
  • Compact track loaders, +0.61 percent, +0.43 percent;
  • Crawler-mounted compact excavators: -0.43 percent, -0.30 percent;
  • Crawler-mounted hydraulic excavators: +0.44 percent, +0.35 percent;
  • Electric self-propelled scissorlifts: +0.50 percent; +0.35 percent;
  • Single drum vibratory compactors: -1.21 percent, -0.85 percent;
  • Skid-steer loaders: +0.38 percent, +0.23 percent;
  • Standard crawler dozers: -0.98 percent; -0.68 percent;
  • Telescoping boom rough-terrain lift trucks: -0.39 percent, -0.27 percent;
  • Tractor-loader-backhoes: -0.43 percent; -0.30 percent.
