Online Aerial Safety Conference Begins Thursday

Maximum Capacity Media will host its fifth annual SAF-T Conference webinar series as a four-day event, with each day presenting a one-hour session covering a specific aerial-safety-related topic. The webinars begin Thursday, Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. EST, with Tony Groat, executive vice president of American Work Platform Training, on why OSHA rescinded its 2009 letter of interpretation on shock-absorbing lanyards and how this may affect how fall protection is used. Groat will also review fall-protection best practices.

The remainder of the sessions will be held Dec. 1, 8 and 15, each beginning at 2 p.m. EST and lasting about an hour. Conference topics will include aerial lift rescue plans; training supervisors on aerial lift safety and operator training requirements; and ground support issues.

Attendance at the webinars is free of charge and will feature question and answer opportunities, and an interactive format in which presenters can show slides and play video clips in support of their presentations.
