RER Magazine last week released its annual RER 100 listing, with the 100 listed companies totaling $13,853.6 million ($13.85 billion) in 2007 rental volume, a 4.3 percent increase over last year’s rental volume of $13,282.5 million ($13.28 billion). The 2007 list, covering 2006 rental volume, had increased 14.5 percent over the previous year.

Although 68 percent of the RER 100 listees posted year-over-year increases, the increases tended to be smaller than the jumps of the previous three years.

The top 10 of the RER 100 totaled $9,208.2 million ($9.2 billion), 66.4 percent of the total 100. The top 20 totaled $11.12 billion. Fourteen companies topped $200 million in rental revenue (same number as last year’s list); 22 companies topped $100 million; 36 topped $50 million and 66 companies topped $25 million in rental volume. RER 100 companies (excluding Home Depot) averaged $3.8 million in rental volume per location.

The RER 100 has been published in the May issue of RER magazine (currently in the mail) and will soon be available on RER’s web site: http://www.rermag.com/.
