Modern Group, one of the U.S.’ top distributors of forklifts, construction equipment, warehouse equipment and power systems, has opened a new branch in Brick, N.J., focused on those in need from superstorm Sandy.
“The needs of our customers and the communities we serve in Monmouth and Ocean Counties are paramount,” said Modern Group president Paul Farrell. “We were committed to responding day one with our service and power business and we wanted to have a branch in the middle of the hardest-hit areas to serve the communities in greatest need.”
In late 2012, the Modern Group, along with suppliers Bandit, Generac, Hyster and Terex, spearheaded a relief effort “Sock it to Sandy,” providing new socks, hats and gloves to the Salvation Army for distribution to those in need.
Modern Group also provides rentals and has a long history in the rental industry. A 100-percent employee-owned ESOP, the company has more than 320 owners and serves Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and Delaware.
