LGH Helps BCMC and Operation Finally Home

Jan. 24, 2014
A Modular 24 Spreader Beam with top rigging, donated by Lifting Gear Hire, was used to help place the roof on the new home of U.S. veteran Cody Nusbaum, who was injured in the line of duty in August 2011.

Lifting Gear Hire recently donated a Modular 24 Spreader Beam with top rigging to help the Building Community Making Connections and Operation Finally Home build a home for an injured United States veteran. LGH donated the Mod 24 spreader beam with rigging to help place the roof on a deserving soldier’s new home in San Antonio.

BCMC partnered with Operation Finally Home to build a home for Specialist Cody Nusbaum, whose unit was ambushed by Taliban fighters disguised as Afghan police officers on Aug. 24, 2011. Since that day Nusbaum has endured more than 65 surgeries and procedures to repair his hip and leg, and five months of painful physical therapy. He recently took his first steps — 15 months after the attack.

“LGH believes in giving back to our communities,” said Chris Hyatte, regional sales manager in the Texas area. “This opportunity to help someone who has given so much for our country means a lot to LGH and touches home for several of our employees.”
