Latin Builders Association Names HERC 2013 Equipment Rental Company of the Year

Hertz Corp. last week announced that the Latin Builders Association, the largest Hispanic construction association in the United States, recognized Hertz Equipment Rental Corp. with the 2013 Equipment Rental Company of the Year award. The annual awards program, which is nominated and voted on by fellow LBA members and colleagues, honors companies that have made a significant positive impact on South Florida's business community.

"We feel very privileged to receive this distinguished award from the prestigious Latin Builders Association,” said Lois Boyd, group president, Hertz Equipment Rental. “We are proud to serve South Florida in a wide array of construction and industrial projects, and will continue to expand our support to customers in the region through new products and services, network growth, and additional staff. South Florida is also close to our hearts as Hertz is in the process of relocating its worldwide headquarters to Estero, Florida."

HERC has general rental branches throughout the state of Florida including Fort Myers, Lakeland, Miami, Orlando, Sarasota, Tampa, Tarpon Springs, West Palm Beach and Jacksonville. The company has additional branches in Lakeland, Miami, and Orlando specially dedicated to pumping, power generation and energy distribution.

Established in 1971, The Latin Builders Association is a non-profit organization that encompasses individuals and companies related to South Florida's construction industry. With more than 750 member companies, the organization embodies the interests of builders, developers, contractors, architects, engineers, plumbers, electricians and tradesmen, providing a vital forum for discussion, networking, training/development, and representation at the local and state levels.
