JLG Industries has relocated its Mid-Atlantic Reconditioning & Service Center from McConnellsburg, Pa., to Benford, Pa. The 83,000-square-foot facility will continue to serve the eastern United States and Canada for aerial work platform reconditioning. JLG Bedford will also support JLG customers in the mid-Atlantic states for repair service.

The new facility increases JLG’s reconditioning and service capacity and enhances related processes to reduce turnaround time for customer repairs.

“For our customers, reducing operating costs is critical to their success,” said Craig Paylor, JLG president. “By expanding JLG’s reconditioning capabilities, we can contribute to improving customer profitability by helping to maximize the useful life of their equipment. The aerial work platform population has been growing and aging significantly over the past several years. JLG Mid-Atlantic and our other regional service centers can help JLG customers control the costs associated with these aging fleets.”

The reconditioning center features an efficient assembly line process that involves completely disassembling an aerial work platform to its core, and then blasting, prepping and re-painting that core to like-new condition. Machines are re-assembled with fully inspected new or rebuilt components. The completed product carries a six-month warranty. JLG Mid-Atlantic also offers repair service.

JLG is owned by Oshkosh, Wis.-based Oshkosh Corp.
