Holt Cat, Caterpillar equipment and engine dealer for South, Central, North and Northeast Texas, has opened a 24,000-square-foot LEED gold certified facility in Laredo, Texas, the company said. Holt held a grand opening March 26.
During the program, Holt Cat presented Laredo Community College with a giant check for $4,000 from Holt Cat and the Caterpillar Dealer Excellence Fund for professional and technical skills training.
“The goal of the Dealer Excellence Fund Program is to help schools develop state-of-the-art technical training programs,” said Shaun Manning, director of Holt ProTech Training.
“This investment demonstrates our continued commitment to serving the customers of Webb and the surrounding counties, and we feel fortunate to be a part of this growing community since 1978,” said J.K. Baxter, Holt senior vice president, machine division.
Based in San Antonio, Holt Cat also is a major rental player and is No. 17 on the RER 100.
