Highlift Equipment Ltd., a full-service construction equipment distributor, this week acquired the assets of Canton, Ohio-based Valco Equipment Inc., a distributor of telescopic forklifts, scissorlifts and boomlifts.
The newly acquired business will sell, rent and provide parts, service and financing for construction equipment under the Valco Equipment Ltd. trade name in Ohio and surrounding states. Distribution agreements are in place for products manufactured by Genie, JLG, Skyjack, Takeuchi, Snorkel and Tiffin, among others.
Dave Maier, former Valco Equipment sales manager, has been appointed Valco general manager and experienced, factory-trained parts and service personnel have been retained. Valco Equipment Ltd. has also relocated to a newer, more convenient full-service facility in North Canton, Ohio.
