Hertz Global Holdings, parent company to Hertz Equipment Rental Corp., said this week that the company plans to file a Form 12b-25 with the Securities and Exchange Commission to obtain additional time to file its annual report for 2013. The company said it expects to file the form 10-K within the 15-day extension period, by March 18.

Hertz said it recently implemented an enterprise resource planning system to improve its financial disclosure controls. As a result of the implementation, Hertz said, it encountered issues during the preparation of its annual financial statement that impacted its financial reporting system. The company will therefore need to revise previously issued financial statements. Hertz said it does not expect the revisions to have a material impact on its previously reported results of operations, financial conditions or liquidity.

Hertz intends to announce its 2013 fourth quarter and full year financial results on or before March 18. The company will issue a press release detailing the date and time of the associated conference call and webcast.
