Park Ridge, N.J.-based Hertz Equipment Rental Corp. last week said it will celebrate the grand re-opening of its Augusta, Ga., general rental facility on Friday, May 11. The event will take place at the store between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and will showcase the facility’s renovated showroom and newly expanded product line, which includes small tools, equipment and contractors’ supplies.

The 5,700-square-foot HERC facility sits on a 3.5-acre lot and houses four heavy equipment bays. Twenty-four hour rental service is available to existing customers.

The grand re-opening of HERC Augusta is part of the company’s general gental program expansion, which HERC began in 2003 in support of its commitment to increase services and products for small, medium and large contractors as well as homeowners. The company added 24 general rental locations in 2006 as part of its planned expansion in that line of equipment rental and currently has 115 general rental locations throughout the United States and Canada.

HERC’s Augusta general rental location offers a broad range of new products, including roto-tillers, floor sanders and buffers, trenchers, paint sprayers, ladders, pumps and scaffolding. In addition to the newly expanded product line, HERC Augusta still offers a wide assortment of construction and industrial equipment from manufacturers such as Case, Genie, Ingersoll Rand, JLG, John Deere, Wacker and Stihl.

At the HERC Augusta grand re-opening, vendor demonstrations and literature will be available, a free lunch will be provided by Mots Pit Cooked Barbeque and giveaways will be provided on-site while supplies last. HERC management will participate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

A wholly owned subsidiary of The Hertz Corp., HERC is No. 3 on the RER 100.
