Adding to its group of online training programs, Genie introduces Genie Lift Pro Online Telehandler Operator Training. Applicable for all brands of telehandlers, the training is now available through authorized Genie Lift Pro Training Centers across North America.

The program is delivered through a web-based platform, designed to satisfy general training requirements for Class 7 Rough Terrain forklifts as defined by ANSI/ITSDF B56.6 and CSA B335 standards and ISHA 1910.178 regulations. The four-hour program incorporates current adult learning theory and consists of graphics, narration, video quizzes and a 57-question exam to provide an interactive learning environment for trainees.

“This is an extremely important program for our industry,” said Scott Owyen, global training manager for Terex Aerial Work Platforms. “There are no other similar telehandler training programs currently available online, creating a tremendous demand in the market. It is a very time-consuming subject for our customers to teach in a classroom setting so our online training program really fits that need.”

Upon passing the exam, a certificate of completion is presented as proof of training. Then, the online training must be followed by hands-on familiarization from a qualified person and employer authorization to complete the training process to become a qualified operator.

The program may be ordered by Genie distributors as part number 1259260 at the Genie aftermarket online ordering website www.gogenielift.com, or ordered from 877-367-5606.
