Former Ingersoll Rand Executive Barry Uber Dies

Barry Uber, a 30-year executive at Ingersoll-Rand, died Dec. 31. Uber started his career at Ingersoll-Rand in 1967.

Barry Uber, a 30-year executive at Ingersoll-Rand, died Dec. 31. Uber started his career at Ingersoll-Rand in 1967, starting as sales manager, later holding leadership positions in construction equipment sales, service and rental. He also served as vice president and general manager of IR’s Road Machinery and Power Tool divisions.

Uber ended his career at Ingersoll Rand as president of the Construction and Mining division.

Uber went on to serve as a partner at Coastal Capital Consultants, was president and CEO of North American Van Lines, served as executive chairman of Tread Corp. and Oneida Molded Plastics. Uber also was a director of NES Rentals.

Uber, who was 69, is survived by his wife Kathy, daughters Lisa Carguello, E. Shane Uber, Tracy Denton, Suzanne Denton and Alanna Vallee. He had five grandchildren.
