Equipment Prices Increase in West in November, EquipmentWatch Index Reports

The new EquipmentWatch Index was released this week, including a quick snapshot of price, volume and age trends during November. The report shows that prices on equipment in the West region increased 3.8 percent, while volume dropped 3 percent. The average age of equipment increased by six months in the resale market and nine months in the auction market.

The average equipment age of Deere equipment increased 11 percent in both the resale and auction markets.

The report includes a price index, which is a state-specific measure of monthly price differential, and a volume index, which is a state-specific measure of monthly sales volume differential. The EquipmentWatch Index also features a monthly recap of critical heavy equipment age benchmarks by category and by manufacturer.
