Cooper Equipment Rentals has opened three new locations in the province of Ontario, adding facilities in Ottawa and Oshawa. The Ottawa branch, known as Ottawa East, also includes a trench safety branch, the Trench Safety division’s third location. The new branches bring Cooper Equipment Rentals to a total of 33 branches in Canada.

Cooper’s Ottawa Merivale also played a response role recently when harsh tornadoes struck Ottawa, destroying homes and buildings across the city. Cooper received its first call for help at 9:30 p.m. from the City of Ottawa, which desperately needed lights for the community of Dunrobin. On call service techs Loui Cenedese and Ryan Edwards delivered truckloads of lights to the community until 1 a.m. The lights were used to assist the search and rescue operations in the area.

The branch received another call at about 3 a.m. from Hydro One. One of its main distribution centers was hit, causing half the city fo lose power. The utility needed generators, light towers and every boomlift in stock, which the CER staff quickly delivered.

Cooper Equipment Rentals, headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, is No. 31 on the RER 100.
