Auction Volumes Jump 6 Percent in Second Quarter, EquipmentWatch Reports

Auction sales volumes increased 6 percent in the second quarter of 2014 compared to the first quarter of 2014, according to the Q2 Quarterly Report released by EquipmentWatch last week.

Auction sales volumes increased 6 percent in the second quarter of 2014 compared to the first quarter of 2014, according to the Q2 Quarterly Report released by EquipmentWatch last week. The report said that Caterpillar, the No. 1 brand by volume, increased market share by 7 percent during the quarter.

During the quarter the average resale prices in the private resale market decreased 5 percent compared to the first quarter. The report said Skyjack took market share from JLG and that prices of crawler-mounted hydraulic excavators increased by 1 percent compared to the first quarter.
