Advisory Firms Back United Rentals Takeover

United Rentals last week said that two proxy advisory firms, Institutional Shareholder Services and Glass Lewis, have recommended that shareholders back the takeover of the company by Cerberus Capital Management.

Shareholders are scheduled to vote Oct. 19 on the $4 billion, $34.50-per-share acquisition by the private equity fund.
