Admar Supply Co. last week announced the appointment of Richard DiMarco Sr. as vice chairman of the board for Admar Supply Co. In addition, Joel DiMarco was named president, and Richard DiMarco II, was named executive vice president.

In his new position as vice chairman, Richard will be taking on different responsibilities, including coaching newly appointed president, Joel DiMarco, and executive vice president, Richard DiMarco II.

Always a family-owned and operated company, Richard Sr. sees the succession to Joel and Richard as a chance for him to pass the torch and to guide and advise Richard II and Joel in the day-to-day operations of Admar.

With his new position, Richard Sr. will have the freedom to spend more time with his family. "You know, it was time for me to pass the torch," he said.

Admar, a Rochester, N.Y.-based construction equipment rental and service-provider, was founded in 1972 by brothers John DiMarco Sr. and Richard DiMarco Sr. As the largest independent provider of construction equipment rentals in New York state, it is No. 62 on the RER 100.
