Mesa, Ariz.-based Acme Lift Co., the nation’s leading re-renter of large aerial work platforms last week named Rob Ryan, one of the company’s original founders, chief operating officer. Ryan returns to the company after a nine-year stint in management at United Rentals.

“Ryan will help integrate the $40 million of new JLG Equipment ordered for Acme’s fleet expansion during 2007 and 2008,” Acme Lift CEO Woody Weld told RER.

Acme Lift Company is the largest re-renter of late model, 80-foot to 230-foot aerial platform equipment in the United States, with a diverse fleet spread throughout the United States. The company is No. 71 on the new RER 100.
