Thompson Pump Moves into New Myrtle Beach Facility

Thompson Pump & Manufacturing Co. recently moved its Myrtle Beach, S.C., branch operation to a larger facility there. The new facility features more than 8,900 total square feet, which will better accommodate the company’s growing customer needs for rentals, sales, parts and service.

The Myrtle Beach branch office, one of 19 Thompson Pump branches nationwide, covers all of Horry, Georgetown, Dillon, Marion, and Florence Counties in South Carolina. Under the direction of operations manager, Toddy Massey, and salesman, Larry Watson, the branch provides a full line of Thompson Pump products for sale and rental.

Thompson Pump will host an open house celebration on Friday, June 22. Customers will receive a free lunch, facility tours, and the opportunity to win prizes. In addition, Mandy of the Thompson Pump Blue Crew will make an appearance signing calendars. Corporate staff will provide insight into unusual and unique pump applications; new products; sewer bypass; and field preventive maintenance and service.

“This move is welcomed by our staff as they continue to face increasing rental and sales demands,” said Tim Creech, Thompson Pump Southeast regional manager. “The new location provides more room for increased growth and will enable us to service an expanded customer base.”

Thompson Pump manufactures engine-powered portable pumps, ranging in size from 2 to 18 inches, for use in varied applications in the areas of public works, municipalities, construction, agriculture, dewatering, mining, sewer/lift stations, and water/waste water.

Port Orange, Fla.-based Thompson Pump is No. 45 on the RER 100.

Thompson Pump’s Myrtle Beach, S.C., employees recently moved into a new 8,900-square-foot facility to better accommodate its growing business.
