Bridgeport, N.J.-based Godwin Pumps, worldwide manufacturer and supplier of the Dri-Prime automatic self-priming pump, recently relocated its Tampa, Fla., and Atlanta locations to larger facilities.
“We have had the pleasure of great success in the Atlanta and Tampa regions,” said Godwin president, John Michael Paz. “The expansion of these facilities reflects our commitment to the availability of equipment and level of service this growing marketplace demands. Godwin is determined to build great businesses here, and these larger facilities will enable us to maintain our market leader position.”
Godwin’s Lakeland, Fla., branch rests on 9 ˝ acres and includes an 18,000-square-foot building that includes office space, a warehouse and a parts department. The facility accommodates 21 employees, and a fleet of more than 300 pumps, light towers, generators and additional equipment.
Godwin’s Kennesaw, Ga., branch is situated on 7 acres and includes 10,300 square feet of office, warehouse and parts space. The facility accommodates 15 employees and more a fleet of more than 200 pump, light towers, generators and other equipment.
“Having facilities of this caliber in such a wet-weather region of the country is critical to our ability to serve our customers,” said Bud Nichols, Godwin southeast regional manager.
In addition to adding a new branch in the western part of the United States, Godwin is also set to break ground on a new, 50,000-square-foot distribution center at its Bridgeport, N.J. home office. This new facility will expedite the distribution of the company’s rental fleet and parts inventory to customers and distributors across the United States.
