Portable Submersible Pump For Limited Space Dewatering

ITT Flygt Corp. introduces Bibo BS 2102 and BS 2125, submersible pumps with a slim design, for dewatering construction sites, trenches and deep excavations. With diameters of 11 1/2 inches and 14 3/8 inches, the pumps can be used in tight spaces and inside small pipes. When installed in driven pipes, they are exceptional at lowering the underground water table.

The BS 2102 is available in 230 V single-phase and 230/460/575 V three-phase versions and is rated 6 HP (single phase) and 8 HP (three phase). The BS 2125 comes in 230/460/575 V three-phase versions and is rated at 13 HP.

The new models use aluminum alloy major castings, stainless steel shaft and tungsten carbide seals. The stainless steel outer jackets are corrosion resistant.

“What differentiates the Bibo pumps from our competitors are the class H insulation motors, corrosion resistant tungsten carbide seals and the alloy cast iron material impellers with 60HCR hardness,” says Radu Murgescu, manager of ITT Flygt Construction & Mining Market.

The pumps feature two independent mechanical seals running in FDA-approved non-toxic lubricant. The abrasion-resistant tungsten carbide/carbon seals are designed for long life and minimal wear. The motors can deliver up to 10 starts per hour and have built-in thermal sensors for overload protection.
