Ingersoll-Rand offers its rental customers the mid-range compressor line with a newly designed air end that requires less horsepower for operation. The CE128 air end is easier on the compressor's engine and allows for greater fuel efficiency. The VHP 300 WIR, with 200 psi, is suitable for drilling, dry ice blasting, pipeline testing and fiber-optics cable installation. The HP 365 WIR, with 150 psi, and the XP 375 WIR, with 125 psi, can be used for painting and abrasive blasting operations. The P425 WIR, rated at 100 psi, is designed for drilling with multiple tools or small crawlair drills and jobsites where more volume is needed.

Fort Gratiot, Mich.-based Marc Dutton Irrigation services thousands of customers in a six-week period, winterizing their sprinkler lines to prevent freeze damage to pipes. Dutton says he has been particularly satisfied with the performance and longevity of Ingersoll-Rand air compressors.
