Subaru introduces the PTX301D diaphragm pump, featuring 3-inch suction and discharge ports. The self-priming PTX301D model pumps up to 250 gpm at a maximum pressure of 21 psi. It offers a maximum suction lift of 25 feet and a maximum lift head of 49 feet. The design completely isolates the pump mechanism from the fluid being moved, making the model suited for pumping abrasives, slurries, re-circulated water and other high-solid-material content, up to 2 inches, that cannot be handled by a centrifugal pump. There are no moving parts, so the pump can run dry indefinitely.

Gorman-Rupp expands its Prime Aire line to include the new PAV3B60C-3TNV70 pump. The heart of this 3-inch model uses a patent-pending vortex impeller with Gorman-Rupp's Staggerwing design, which represents a dramatic improvement over other standard vortex impeller designs, the maker says. The design allows this model to pass a 3-inch solid through all critical areas of the pump. The PAV3B60C-3TNV70 is powered by a Yanmar water-cooled diesel engine that is EPA-certified to meet Interim Tier-4 emission standards.
