Carrier Corp. Acquires HVAC Rental Specialist

Carrier Corp., a manufacturer and distributor of air-conditioning systems, last week acquired the Longville Group, a United Kingdom-based leader in the rental of HVAC equipment, temperature controls and pumps, mainly marketed under the names NuTemp, SLD Pumps and CRS.

Carrier Corp., a manufacturer and distributor of air-conditioning systems, last week acquired the Longville Group, a United Kingdom-based leader in the rental of HVAC equipment, temperature controls and pumps, mainly marketed under the names NuTemp, SLD Pumps and CRS.

Longville employs 430 people and is headquartered in the U.K., with branches in the United States, France, Holland, Germany, Poland and Singapore. It has 42 branches in the U.K.

“Longville brings with it sizeable assets and technical expertise in the rental business, together with strong customer relationships,” said Kelly Romano, president, building systems and services, Carrier Corp. “We are building on our existing and attractive rental service business by adding scale in the United States and by expanding into Europe.”

Based in Farmington, Conn., Carrier Corp. is a division of Hartford, Conn.-based United Technologies Corp.
