Milwaukee-based engine manufacturer Briggs & Stratton introduced its new commercial power group at the World of Concrete convention in Las Vegas last month. The announcement marks a new emphasis by the company to manufacture and market engines for the commercial user.

“Briggs & Stratton's commitment of additional people and resources combined with our ever-growing global alliances with world-class commercial engine manufacturers gives Briggs & Stratton's Commercial Power the opportunity to deliver enhanced power solutions to the commercial equipment industry,” said Bill Reitman, vice president of marketing.

The new Briggs & Stratton group will be identified by a new yellow and black logo. B&SCP will provide commercial customers with a dedicated sales and marketing staff with ample commercial experience and new commercial-grade Vanguard engines manufactured through alliances with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Daihatsu.

The company also launched a new Web site, www.commercialpower.com.
