Vermeer Mini Skid Steer Pumps Up the Hydraulics

Vermeer introduces the S650TX mini skid-steer loader, featuring a four-pump hydraulic system that delivers hydraulic fluid flow of 13.75 gpm. The additional capacity of the four-pump hydraulic configuration helps enhance attachment performance and increase operational efficiency.

An innovative frame design with idler positioned close to the front attachment plate improves overall lifting capacity and reduces overall machine weight, avoiding the need for additional counterweights at the rear of the machine. With tipping capacity of 1,890 pounds and rated operating capacity of 660 pounds, users are able to accommodate heavier loads. In addition, an operator presence system suspends drive and attachment motion if the operator steps off the machine.

“The S650TX utilizes a pilot-operated control for the ground drive, making the unit easy to learn how to operate,” says Jon Kuyers, product manager for the utility segment at Vermeer Corp. “Renters will appreciate the newly designed hydraulic system and increased capacity improving performance and productivity of hydraulic attachments and allowing the machine to dig better.”

The S650TX is equipped with a 24.8-hp Kubota D1105-ET03 diesel engine and is available with either 7- or 9-inch rubber tracks. The machine measures 91.5 inches in length when outfitted with a standard bucket.

“Improved undercarriage components also lower the overall cost of operation for the rental equipment owner,” Kuyers says. “The overall tip capacity handles heavier loads thus minimizing the need for larger machines in some applications.”
