Excavator Moves Easily Around Jobsites, Delivers Deep Digging Depths
The U17 zero-tail-swing compact excavator from Kubota delivers maneuverability, power and performance in confined work spaces. The unit also provides increased hydraulic flow for fast, responsive operation and heightened traction force for backfilling jobs, as well as rubber tracks for a smooth ride and lower ground pressure.
“Whether digging pools, lead-ins or underground utilities, the U17 is designed for big jobs in small places,” says Keith Rohrbacker, product manager for Kubota. “This machine is designed with features and performance-upgrades that will appeal to operator productivity and comfort.”
The dozer arms on the U17 are extended to optimize clearance between the dozer and bucket, making soil and rock collection close to the machine simple. The unit features power for heavy loads and tough excavating jobs with a quick coupler and bucket breakout force of more than 3,000 pounds. And with a compact 3-foot, 3-inch overall width, the U17 is small enough to fit through a gate at a jobsite.
The compact excavator has an 11-foot, 7-inch maximum digging height, an 8-foot maximum dumping height, and a 7-foot, 7-inch maximum digging depth. Optional implements for the U17 include buckets, spark arrest muffler, travel alarm, hydraulic auger, canopy lights and a hydraulic hammer.
Verified by Keith Rohrbacker, product manager for Kubota.
