Versatile Excavator Digs in Hard-to-Reach Jobsites
The on/off pavement XL 3300 III excavator from Gradall Industries weighs 39,294 pounds and offers productivity and versatility on a wide range of jobs. Its four-wheel-drive, rubber-tire undercarriage moves easily in dirt and mud, while also offering mobility on pavement. Even without the use of optional outriggers, the XL 3300 III has stability similar to a conventional crawler while working at either end or either side. New features include more comfort options and an in-cab switch to select the joystick pattern — either Gradall, Deere or SAE — to accommodate operator preference. Also, to simplify fleet maintenance management, nearly 90 percent of all service parts are interchangeable between Series III on/off pavement Gradall excavators.
“A tilting, telescoping boom combined with high-pressure, load-sensing hydraulics delivers extra versatility and power for high production work as well as fine grading and loading,” says Michael Norman, director of sales and marketing for Gradall. “Low overhead work capability allows the machine to work in tunnels, under bridges and tree limbs, where knuckle booms cannot. A wheeled undercarriage provides stability while working in all directions, and mobility on rough terrain as well as paved surfaces.”
The XL 3300 III has a compact profile with a new rear counterweight design, resulting in a rear swing of 7 feet, 6 inches, enabling the excavator to work in traffic lanes without closing the road. The unit also features a digging depth of 18 feet, 5 inches and the boom reach at ground line is 27 feet, 3 inches.
Verified by Michael Norman, director for sales and marketing for Gradall Industries.
